DONG Energy
DONG Energy is one of Northern Europe's leading energy groups, its headquarters located in Denmark. Its business is based on procuring, producing, distributing, trading and selling energy and related products in Northern Europe. The company delivered a revenue of DKK 41.6 billion in 2007 (approx. € 5.6 billion) and has more than 5,000 employees. DONG Energy already has a presence in the Netherlands through its Dutch sales and distribution company DONG Sales B.V. In 2007, DONG Energy became a part-owner of the LNG Terminal Gate in Rotterdam. DONG Energy furthermore is involved in gas storage projects, and owns 50% of the Nogat gas pipeline.

Essent
Essent is the largest energy company in the Netherlands and very active in the field of natural gas. Essent supplies natural gas and electricity to both domestic and business customers, owns a number of gas-fired power plants, has a large capacity for gas storage and participates and invests in LNG terminals. Essent's trading branch is very active on the international gas markets. Essent considers the Netherlands as its home base, but it also has built a substantial market position in Germany and Belgium. Essent employs about 10 000 people.

EBN (Energie Beheer Nederland)
On behalf of the Dutch government EBN participates in the exploration and production of oil, natural gas and condensate in the Netherlands. In most licences, both on- and offshore, EBN has an interest of generally 40%. EBN furthermore is shareholder of GasTerra BV (40%). EBN's mission is to realise a profitable development of energy sources and use of the subsoil. Last year EBN handed over an amount of € 5 miljard on profits to the Dutch government. EBN employs about 65 people.
