EDI firmly believes in the power of networks, simply because a network consists of more brains and therefore contains more knowledge. Furthermore, a knowledge network develops and disseminates new knowledge faster and more efficient. That is why EDI maintains a formalised network of knowledge partners. These partners either contribute to the development of EDI's training programmes, or send their experts to act as lecturers in these programmes. EDI distinguishes between academic and professional knowledge partners. An academic knowledge partner is a university or a not-for-profit research organisation. A professional knowledge partner is an organisation that provides high level consultancy services on a commercial basis.
