The programme Upstream Oil and Gas Agreements, Production Sharing and Unitization, gives you an overview of the contractual requirements between the different entities in the upstream Oil and Gas business. The programme also creates awareness about the potential pitfalls to be taken into account in the contractual negotiations between these parties.

The course is intended for technical, legal and financial professionals involved in oil and gas field development planning and commercial negotiations.

Which topics are addressed during this course?

The 2 day course deals with the technical, commercial / economical and legal aspects of oil and gas agreements. A number of case studies will be used to show the potential pitfalls to be taken into account in the contractual negotiations between licensees.
The programme gives participants a perfect opportunity to take a close look at the oil and gas agreements and exchange experiences and views with both fellow participants and highly qualified field experts.
 

Which experts do you get a chance to exchange views with during this course?

Key lecturer of the programme Upstream Oil and Gas Agreements, Production Sharing and Unitization is Arend van Nieuwland. Arend worked for more then 10 years for the Nederlandse Aardolie Maatschappij (NAM is a joint venture of Shell and Exxonmobil) as a sales director and member of the NAM management team. Right now Arend started his own consultancy firm to give professional advice to the oil and gas industry.
To guarantee both high quality and a varied programme, the key lecturer is supported by leading experts from the oil and gas industry.
