In 2009 EDI organised the first Young Professional (YP) Energy Parliament. This event proved to be a great success. This led to the believe within EDI that empowering Young Energy Professionals should be one of the focal points of EDI’s efforts.

Now it’s 2010 and EDI has made some remarkable efforts in facilitating the Young Energy Professional amongst their partners. In cooperation with Vlamboyant, the Young Professional organisation of N.V. Nederlandse Gasunie, EDI organised a forum to discuss the Deltaplan on Energy; a plan from Dutch political parties for a sustainable energy future. This event again proved to be a success. More than fifty Young Professionals from a broad range of energy companies came together to discuss this plan and meet with their colleagues.

EDI’s intention is to offer all EDI’s partners a taylor made Young Professional event, to be organised in close cooperation with the YP-organization of it’s partners. That’s not all: EDI is also closely involved in the foundation of Young Energy Valley, which aim is to coordinate and facilitate events from all the different Young Professional organizations in the energy industry. EDI is again involved in the organization of Young Energy Delta Convention. YoungEDC is a Young Professional side event of the Energy Delta Convention in November 2010.

To be short: EDI proves to be an excellent partner for Young Energy Professionals to empower their careers.
