In the spirit of sharing knowledge and to provide a platform for their partners, EDI organised a round table discussion about unconventional gas on 15th of June. Several representatives of business and knowledge partners of EDI shared their experience and knowledge. During this fruitful discussion, one of the important questions posed was whether unconventional gas production in Europe could have a similar impact as in the USA in the near future. There was consensus amongst the participants that it is unlikely that the unconventional gas production in Europe will reach similar levels as in the USA within the next decade.
EDI took this opportunity to strengthen the round table session by offering participation at the Global Unconventional Gas conference. This was scheduled directly after the round table session. EDI was present and was closely involved with hosting this conference . This congress is the world’s premier international conference and workshop designed to transfer knowledge and best practices to regions of emerging resource development. The leading U.S. and international experts describe the enormous potential of gas shale and other unconventional gas resources across the globe.
The international cooperation between EDI and the host of the conference GTI (a not-for-profit Research and Development (R&D) organization, USA) proved to be a great success.
