EDI’s in-house Intelligence Unit is a knowledge hub facilitating the link between the dispersed energy knowledge and the industry. The Intelligence Unit maintains the content of EDI’s energy courses, seminars and in-house trainings and closely follows the developments in the energy sector. Furthermore, the Intelligence Unit continuously analyses the most important issues of today’s gas industry and communicates the relevant results of fundamental and applied research to its partners.
Our services
Every three months EDI Intelligence issues the EDI Quarterly, a publication aiming to stirr the discussions on issues of importance to the energy industry. The Quarterly provides its readers with an overview of the latest developments regarding particular energy topics, important research results, recent books and publications relevant to the energy sector, as well as upcoming conferences and other events.
Another online tool provided by the Intelligence Unit is the ‘Latest Energy News’: After reviewing multiple news sources on a daily basis, EDI Intelligence presents the most interesting news articles in a web portal and stores them into a growing archive. Furthermore, the ‘Upcoming Conferences and Seminars’ tool offers a list of forthcoming energy conventions, reccommended by the Intelligence Unit.
EDI Intelligence, in cooperation with the International Gas Union, provides an Interactive World Gas Map, encompassing key statistics on natural gas reserves, consumption, production, major gas fields, storage capacity etc. per country, updated every year in accordance with the data adjustment introduced by the most renowned sources of statistical information for the energy sector.
The newest project of EDI Intelligence is EDIaal, partially made possible by a subsidy granted by The Northern Netherlands Provinces (SNN), together with the European Fund for Regional Development and the Ministry of Economic Affairs of the Netherlands. It is devoted to developing training programs and other tools for sharing knowledge on the role of natural gas in a sustainable future.
Our commitment
By combining the knowledge and expertise of senior specialists with the enthusiasm and drive of our young team of analysts, EDI Intelligence aims to keep its partners well informed and up to date with the latest developments in the energy world.
