Cooperation

EDIAAL-activities will be closely attuned to the complementary activities that have been and are being developed elsewhere in the northern part of the Netherlands. The purpose is to create a mutually beneficial situation, for this reason one of the EDIAAL objectives is to collaborate with various knowledge institutes and programmes in the area as well as other partners that actively seek to promote the development of the northern Netherlands. Thanks to the efforts of EDI’s partners and international network, the EDIAAL programme will also offer opportunities to internationally promote the successes achieved in the northern Netherlands.

Examples of cooperation
EDIAAL closely collaborates with two other initiatives with an energy transition focus that were set up in the northern provinces of the Netherlands, including EDGaR (Energy Delta Gas Research) and Energy Valley (EV). EDGaR is a national research programme, which focuses on the role of gas in the energy transition. Energy Valley mainly focuses on support of initiatives from the business world to capitalize on the knowledge that has been developed in relation to sustainable energy.

The EDIaal project is partly made possible by a subsidy granted by The Northern Netherlands Provinces (SNN). EDIaal is co-financed by the European Union, European Fund for Regional Development, The Ministry of Economic Affairs, Agriculture and Innovation and Peaks in the Delta.
