Hydrogen is often referred to as the missing link in creating a renewable energy system. In this light, the North of Noord-Holland has ambitious plans to create a hydrogen economy. But what is hydrogen? Why do we need it to decarbonise the energy system? What are the regional hydrogen developments? And do we need it to fuel our cars?

To provide answers to these important questions, New Energy Coalition (the parent company of the Energy Delta Institute) and Ontwikkelingsbedrijf Noord-Holland Noord set up three livestreams (in Dutch) dedicated to the role of hydrogen in the energy transition. During these livestreams we will visit test and pilot locations, and experts in the field will share their experiences in round table talks.

  • The first livestream – on hydrogen in general and the need for hydrogen in the energy transition – will be broadcasted on the 3rd of March.
  • The second livestream – on regional hydrogen developments and ambitions – will be broadcasted on the 10th of March.
  • The third livestream – on the role of hydrogen in the mobility sector – will be broadcasted on the 17th of March. All livestreams will be broadcasted at 14.00 (CET) and are available for replay.
