Our learning approach

The Energy Delta Institute (EDI) brings together world-class knowledge and business skills to educate energy professionals to become the future leaders of the energy industry. Our programmes and events aimed at starters, mid-career professionals and senior managers focus on the economic, managerial, regulatory and geopolitical aspects of the energy business.

Share the energy of knowledge

Our training programmes deliver the perfect balance between practical business experience and academic knowledge. EDI’s teaching staff consists of industry experts who provide relevant knowledge of the industry that bridges the gap between theory and practice. We use a problem-based learning method that includes examples and case studies from the industry that provide context for the subject matter. EDI continuously improves its educational programmes and online learning platform to meet the demand of the participants.

Face–to–face experience

Traditionally, EDI’s teaching method was face-to-face classroom interaction. Classroom learning has major benefits such as adapting the learning experience immediately to fit the needs of the participants, valuable direct feedback or help from the teacher as well as social interaction and the chance to network and share knowledge with other participants. Moreover, it gives us an opportunity to include a site visit so participants can gain hands-on experience.

Study when and where convenient

As an international energy business school the Energy Delta Institute is heavily involved in online learning. EDI provides its participants with an intuitive online learning platform and interactive E-learning content. One major benefit of our online platform is that participants are able to access all relevant course material whenever they want and wherever they are. Our platform also allows participants to engage with our project managers, lecturers and other participants through discussions and assignments. Flexibility and the fact that employees can spend less time away from their workplace are just two of the other powerful benefits that online learning offers.

Blended learning

Improving the learning experience is EDI's chief objective. We believe this can be achieved by combining our classroom training with inspiring E-learning content; also known as blended learning. EDI has implemented blended learning in several of its training programmes. Blended learning combines the benefits of student-teacher discussions in the physical classroom with additional online learning resources. When blended learning is properly applied, the best of two worlds are combined and performance is increased.
