2014 - Gazprom seminar
In 2012 JSC Gazprom started with an in-house executive training for their employees on the programme “Gazprom MBA: Managing of Oil and Gas Corporation in a global environment”. The training programme was organised under the umbrella of Saint-Petersburg State Economic University. The programme included one module to be held abroad. The main goal of this module was to provide the employees a look behind the scenes of big energy companies in The Netherlands and to gain knowledge about global energy markets.
In this framework the N.V. Nederlandse Gasunie and Energy Delta Institute (EDI) organised a seminar on the 3rd of July at the headquarters of Gasunie. The group consisted of 21 high-ranking/ranked professionals , mostly heads and deputy heads of Gazprom subsidiaries. Lectures about e.g. the founding of Gasunie, the Gas Roundabout, the Role of gas in the sustainable context and Gas infrastructure developments in the changing EU landscape, Gasunie’s positioning and future choices were given by Han Fennema (CEO N.V. Nederlandse Gasunie), Eric Dam (President EDI) Marcel Kramer (Senior Counsel to the Management of OAO Gazprom), George Verberg (Former President IGU and former CEO N.V. Nederlandse Gasunie), Ulco Vermeulen ( Managing Director Participations & Business development N.V. Nederlandse Gasunie), Geert Greving (Head of Public Affairs GasTerra) and Hans Coenen (Vice president Corporate Strategy & Portfolio Management N.V. Nederlandse Gasunie).
In the afternoon the group was welcomed by Harm Post (CEO Groningen Seaports) at Groningen Seaports. After an inspiring lecture the day finished with a boat tour in the harbor of Eemshaven. All participants looked back on an interesting and inspiring day, in which they gained knowledge of the Dutch gas market and the strategic decisions behind big projects.
