The key to achieve national climate goals.
CCUS (Carbon Capture, Utilisation and Storage) is a key tool tackling climate change, providing energy security, creating jobs and economic prosperity. Through cleaning old industry and giving it a second life, CCS is preserving jobs and keeping local economies alive.
The ambitious Dutch climate target aims for a 49 per cent reduction in CO2 emissions by 2030, beyond the 40 per cent target agreed by EU leaders. Under this plan, CCS will deliver at least 20 million tonnes in CO2 emissions reductions every year by 2030. This represents Europe’s most ambitious plans on CCS to date.
Highlights of the masterclass:
First half of the programme: an introduction to the topic and discussions over the current available technologies for Capturing, Transporting, Storing and Utilisation of CO2 shall be given.
Second half: an overview of the most relevant economical parameters, regulatory framework (policies and law).
Finalizing with a business case analysis wrapping up all the concepts together.
The programme is an introduction to the topic and is therefore particularly interesting for people who are relatively new to the aspects of CCUS. In addition, the program offers people with more experience the ability to be completely up to date with the latest developments and to get a knowledge of the entire value chain.
This Masterclass is highly recommended for individuals working along the energy value chain:
