Energy Delta Institute (EDI) is pleased to announce that it has become a knowledge partner of St. Petersburg International Gas Forum – 2019 (SPIGF), which will be held on 1-4 October 2019 in St. Petersburg, Russia (venue: ExpoForum).

International GasForum 2019 St. Petersburg

The SPIGF is the leading annual international gas conference that provides a platform for substantive dialogue on the most pressing issues between leaders of gas industry. During the 9th edition of SPIGF we will organize a Round Table session “Hydrogen – a paradigm shift in the energy sector, the future?”. Experts from Delft University, Shell, Gazprom, Gasunie, Skolkovo Energy Center, Uniper, OMV, DBI and others will debate about how hydrogen can realize the ambitious transition of EU energy system and what role can natural gas play in this development. Marcel Kramer, President of EDI, will moderate the session. SPIGF participants are very welcome to join the lively discussion, which will be held on October 2, 2019 10.00 – 11.30 at hall B1 of ExpoForum!

EDI is also supporting the International Youth Day event – Energy Challenge, held within the framework of the Forum. With four years of successful implementation, the event attracted attention of more than 500 students from 25 countries. This year the students were invited to study at 3-month online training program named Virtual Academy before coming to St. Petersburg. We have supported the event by arranging a webinar for the participants on the topic “Will the role of hydrogen grow?” by Catrinus Jepma, vice-president innovation of EDI. Marcel Kramer will be part of the international team of juries of the situational game.
