Everything you need to know about biogas and its potential

For the European gas sector there is only one future and it is called decarbonisation. The most straightforward way to decarbonise natural gas streams is by replacing it with different types of “renewable” gas, such as biogas or biomethane.

This two-morning virtual class takes the participants in a helicopter view around the key parts of the rapidly evolving biogas value chain and it does so in cooperation with European Biogas Association.

How you benefit

  • Get overview of complete biogas value chain
  • Identify new opportunities in biogas
  • Network with experts and peers

About the programme

This Masterclass offers a tour d’horizon of the complete biogas value chain: from biomass to biogas production, upgrading, distribution and consumption. It also looks at regulatory and public acceptance issues around renewable gas and various applications, e.g. in mobility.

Topics

  • Production and transport of renewable gas
  • Upgrading biogas to biomethane
  • Certification of biogas/biomethane
  • Future scenarios for biogas supply and demand
  • Sustainability and public acceptance issues around renewable gas and biomass
  • Policy, regulatory issues and subsidies
  • Business models and business cases

What you learn

  • Complete overview of latest developments and all aspects of biogas business
  • Identify opportunities in biogas
  • First-hand experience of biogas production

Who should attend

The course provides an overall overview to the topic bio gas and is therefore particularly interesting for people who are relatively new to this topic. It also offers people with more experience the ability to get completely up to date with the latest developments and to gain knowledge of the entire value chain.
