LNG has transformed global gas and energy markets in recent years. As a highly versatile fuel, which can be used in transport, power generation and as industrial feedstock and traded as a global commodity, its importance is expected to grow further in the coming decades.
This interactive course, consisting of two full morning sessions (from 09:00 to 13:00 CET time), provides an in-depth overview of key trends and dynamics of the LNG market. It also presents expert opinion on the challenges ahead, including the impacts of the COVID-19 crisis on oil and gas markets and the implications of the EU’s Green Deal.
The key lecturer of this course, Dr Thierry Bros, one of the foremost independent LNG experts in the world, will share with you his insight into the LNG market and provide you with a highly informed and realistic assessment of the possibilities and limitations of LNG in the future energy system.
The course includes analysis of the impacts of the COVID-19 crisis and climate policies such as the Green Deal, helping LNG players to explore how they can adjust themselves to new realities.

Dr. Thierry Bros is Senior Manager European Affairs & Lead Analyst for IOGP in Brussels. Thierry is also a Senior Expert at Energy Delta Institute, a visiting Professor at SciencesPo Paris, a member of the EU-Russia Gas Advisory Council, an advisory board member and a contributor to the independent specialized website Natural Gas World. Thierry has more than 30 years’ experience in the energy field, from policy side to trading floors. Thierry Bros holds a Master of chemical engineering from ESPCI ParisTech and a PhD from Ecole Centrale Paris.
Ashutosh Shastri is the founder of EnerStrat Consulting – a London based international strategic management consultancy practice in the Energy Sector. Additionally he also serves as Advisor to the World Energy Council/ Global Gas Centre. Ashutosh has advised leading international energy companies in their corporate and business unit strategies, conducted strategic due diligence for Private Equity and VC funds, provided policy and commercial advice, conducted asset valuation and advised Institutional Investors/Asset Managers. He has acted as independent expert in a range of commercial renegotiations/ disputes in the natural gas/LNG and electricity contracts. Ashutosh is an electrical engineering graduate of The Victoria Jubilee Technological Institute, University of Mumbai.
